This policy explains what personal information Tevanscapes (“we”, “us”) collects through https://tevanscapes.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies only to this website.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in two ways.
Information you give us. When you submit any enquiry form on this site, we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, and where provided your email address, city or site location, the service you are interested in, the project type, and your message.
Information collected automatically. When a form is submitted we also record the page it was submitted from, the referring page, your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, and the date and time. We keep these to help us respond in context and to detect automated spam submissions.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information such as financial account details, government identification numbers or health information through this website.
2. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a scope, timeline or quotation.
- To contact you about your enquiry by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- To keep an internal record of enquiries so our team can follow up without asking you to repeat yourself.
- To protect the site from spam and abusive automated submissions.
We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
3. Where your information is stored
Enquiry details are stored in our website database on our hosting provider’s servers. A copy of each enquiry is also written to a private Google Sheet used by our team to track follow-up, and a notification may be emailed to our team inbox. Access to all three is restricted to authorised members of our team.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small number of third parties to run this site and our operations. Where they process your information, they do so on our instructions:
- Our web hosting provider — stores the website and its database.
- Google (Sheets, Apps Script and, where applicable, Maps) — receives enquiry records and serves the embedded map on our contact page.
- Our email provider — delivers enquiry notifications and our replies to you.
These providers may store data on servers outside India. We share only what is needed for them to provide their service.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site sets a session cookie that exists purely to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. It carries no advertising or tracking identifier and expires when you close your browser.
The embedded Google Map on our contact page is loaded from Google and may set its own cookies. If we add web analytics in future, this section will be updated before it goes live.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably need them for the project or relationship they relate to, and to meet our record-keeping obligations. If you ask us to delete your details and we have no ongoing project or legal reason to retain them, we will.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to show you what enquiry details we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete your details, or stop contacting you. Write to tevanscapes@gmail.com and we will act on it within a reasonable period. We may need to confirm your identity first.
8. Security
Enquiry forms are transmitted over HTTPS, our admin panel requires a password, and access to enquiry data is limited to team members who need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but if a breach affects your information we will act promptly and tell you where we are required to.
9. Children
This site is intended for people commissioning landscape work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted here.
