A modular living wall for a double-height lobby, with concealed irrigation and a serviceable panel system.
The brief asked for a green wall that would read as a single planted surface while still being maintainable by the building's own housekeeping team.
We used a modular felt-pocket system on a ventilated aluminium frame, kept 50 mm off the wall to protect the finish. Irrigation is a concealed pressure-compensating drip line zoned top to bottom, so the lower rows do not drown.
Outcomes
- Single planted surface with no visible hardware
- Panels lift out individually for replanting
- Zoned irrigation prevents waterlogging in lower rows
- Trained the in-house team to run monthly upkeep
